We built TAG Bands because the people we love can't always speak for themselves.

Every parent knows the feeling. We just decided to do something about it.

Where it started

It was a Saturday morning at a busy farmers' market. One moment my four-year-old was holding my hand. The next, he wasn't. Those ninety seconds before I found him still stay with me. He was fine. I wasn't.

That night, I looked for something that could give him a voice if it happened again. What I found felt outdated: plastic ID cards, complicated apps, and bracelets with limited information. Nothing felt built for real families or privacy.

So I started sketching and spoke to parents, carers, school nurses, and paramedics. The message was clear: make it simple. No app. No login. Something a stranger can use in seconds and a parent can update easily.

That sketch became TAG Bands. Because I couldn't accept that a folded piece of paper was the best we could do for the people we love most.

Our mission

To give every vulnerable person a voice when they cannot speak for themselves through technology that is simple enough for anyone to use and powerful enough to matter.

“No app. No login.
Just scan to safety.”

What we stand for

Simplicity

Technology should get out of the way. If it takes more than one step, we've failed.

Honesty

We will never use fear to sell. We use facts.

Inclusivity

Every person who cannot speak for themselves deserves a voice, regardless of age, condition, or background.

Your data, protected

When someone scans your band, they see only what you choose to share a name, emergency contacts, and medical notes. Nothing more. Here's how we keep it safe.

Only what you choose

“We were at a busy Christmas market and he wandered off. A woman found him, scanned his band, and I was alerted within two minutes — she knew his name, that he was non-verbal, and exactly how to keep him calm until I got there”
